Zinedine Zidane is named as the new coach of Real Madrid. The story of constant changes in the position of coach began with the departure of Vicente del Bosque and is questioned by fans. Here is a list of the Real Madrid coaches in the past years.

Vicente del Bosque (November 1999-June 2003)

Probably Florentino’s most controversial decision was to let go of Vicente del Bosque a few days after the club won its second league title in three seasons. Del Bosque also led the club to raise its ninth Champions League title in 2002.

Carlos Queiroz (June 2003-May 2004)

Juan Ramon Lopez Caro (December 2005-June 2006)

Fabio Capello (July 2006 - June 2007)

Zinedine Zidane (January 2016)

Zinedine Zidane was named the new coach of the club on Monday after the departure of Rafael Benitez. The news was announced at a press conference by club president Florentino Perez.

He coinsdered Zidane “one of the greatest figures in football history” and said: “This is your stadium, your club, you have all our confidence. Madridismo is at your side. As president, I am proud to have you by my side. I know for you, the word ‘impossible’ does not exist.”
